MERINO CASHMERE CARE GUIDE

Merino cashmere is designed to be worn often, and cared for lightly.
With considered care, each piece retains its softness, shape, and natural performance over time. Crafted for everyday wear across changing seasons, the blend combines warmth, breathability, and lightweight comfort in a way that feels effortless on the body.

Our knitwear is crafted from a premium merino cashmere blend designed for repeat wear - soft against the skin, naturally insulating, and resilient enough for daily rotation.

A NATURAL FIBRE, DESIGNED FOR LONGEVITY

Merino wool and cashmere are naturally adaptive fibres, valued for their softness, breathability, and ability to regulate temperature across seasons. Merino provides warmth without unnecessary weight, while remaining breathable through changing conditions and extended wear.

Our signature blend is composed of:
80% merino wool
15% cashmere
5% nylon for structure and shape retention

Each fibre plays a role in the overall feel and function of the garment - softness, insulation, breathability, and long-term stability through wear.

Unlike synthetic fibres, merino cashmere does not require frequent washing. Merino naturally resists odour build-up and releases moisture efficiently, helping garments maintain freshness between wears.

In many cases, simply airing between use is enough.

WEARING MORE, WASHING LESS

The most important principle of caring for merino cashmere is restraint.
Natural fibres perform best when washed less frequently, helping preserve softness, structure, and the integrity of the yarn over time.

To maintain freshness between wears:

  • Air garments after use
  • Spot clean only where needed
  • Avoid unnecessary wash cycles

Merino’s natural breathability and odour resistance make it ideal for repeat wear, reducing the need for constant laundering while extending the lifespan of the garment.

WASHING WITH CARE

When washing is required, a gentle approach is best.

  • Cold hand wash or cold gentle machine cycle
  • Avoid excessive rubbing, wringing, or agitation
  • Dry flat away from direct heat or sunlight
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Avoid high heat where possible

Natural fibres respond poorly to excessive heat and friction, which can gradually alter softness, stretch, and surface texture over time.

HOW TO STORE

Merino cashmere should always be stored folded, not hung.
Natural fibres can gradually stretch under their own weight when suspended for long periods, particularly through the shoulders and neckline.

For best results:

  • Fold between wears
  • Store in a cool, dry environment
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to heat or moisture

This helps preserve the garment’s original shape, softness, and structure over time.

PILLING – A NATURAL PART OF WEAR

Pilling is a natural characteristic of soft, high-quality fibres such as merino wool and cashmere. It occurs as fibres gently move against one another during wear, particularly in areas exposed to friction.

Light pilling is expected and does not indicate reduced quality, it reflects the softness of the yarn itself.

To minimise pilling over time:

- Use a cashmere comb gently when needed

- Reduce friction from bags or textured outerwear

- Store garments folded rather than hung

Each garment includes a cashmere comb for ongoing maintenance and long-term wear.

DESIGNED FOR REPEAT WEAR

Merino cashmere knitwear is designed to move through everyday life with ease – worn consistently, layered across seasons, and maintained with simple, considered care.

With time, the fibres soften further while retaining their warmth, breathability, and shape, supporting a longer-lasting wardrobe built around repeat wear.
